So Exciting...

Most long term readers of The Blog know I finished my 4 year study of naturopathy a year ago.

I then had a gap year.

Last week, on the 14th Feb my gap year was up!

Time to open up shop....

Well folks it is a happening!

I've two clients ALREADY!!

My website is in design process... MAN it is hard and I am so greatful for my wonderful friends who are helping me with proofreading.

If your a copywriter and enjoy/have time to look over my writing I'd sure appreciate the help.

And a clever friend is helping me put a website online.

I've brought the Bloom template - pretty aye...
I know NOTHING about Wordpress so it is gonna be a learning curve.

Ok so I know many of you may be interested
 in what I'm starting with....

Chronic Health Care.... I wanna be a naturopath that I wanted when my family was going thru chronic health conditions.

I will specialise in helping clients who have a chronic illness understand their condition, help unravel the often-challenging healing journey, and learn to live well with their condition/s.

I have personal experience of dealing with myself and family members who have chronic illness such as asthma, eczema, irritable bowel, ulcerative colitis, life threatening food allergies, food intolerances, dyslexia, dyscalcula, endometriosis, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, insulin resistance, adrenal fatigue, hormone imbalance, and repeat miscarriages.  My life experiences of the many conditions bring a personal understanding of the role of being a caregiver to a chronically ill family member and what it feels personally to have lived with poor health. I believe these life experiences bring a different dimension to helping you on your wellness path from chronic illness.

In addition, I have a special interest in autoimmune diseases, anxiety, ADHD, PCOS, infertility and supporting caregivers.

Our family’s doctors and specialists are amazed at the progress that has been made, especially with family members that are in remission and no longer taking allopathic medication. Not that I am against pharmaceutical drugs, I firmly believe there is a time and a place for them and there is no shame or judgement from me for using them.  I still have my asthma medication on hand which can be lifesaving in the event of an asthmatic attack. But naturopathic treatment can be extremely beneficial working alongside medicine your specialist or GP has prescribed.

Women's Wellness.   I am passionate in helping women through the many transitional phases of their life from menarche to menopause. Possibly you are experiencing difficulty with irregular periods or frustrated with menopause. Or have you been struggling with weight loss, diagnosed with endometriosis, PCOS, PMS, anxiety, and wanting to approach your health concerns from a natural holistic viewpoint.

Preconception Care. I work only with couples, both parties need to be on board seeing me three months before conception with the goal of having the healthiest sperm and healthiest egg possible which will give your baby the very best start in life.

I have walked the path off ill health and been a full-time caregiver for chronically ill family members. I’ve firsthand experience and not just read/studied chronic illness. I’ve personally dealt with infertility and repeat miscarriages. The menopausal years have been one of my best seasons in life so far, I breezed through it and I contribute this to applying naturopathic principals in my mature years. I’ve made lifestyle and dietary changes not just for me but also for my family. You will not get from me any recommendations I have not tried (eg I will not suggest you do a coffee enema). Nor will you end up with an expensive supplement graveyard.

To come…
On Line courses
Retreats
Women’s Circle

I believe in organic growth, I’ve so many ideas of where I wish to take my business. It is going to be based at our home on the Kapiti Coast, Wellington, New Zealand. A Women’s Shed (She Shed) is going to be purposely built, But to start with, I’m working from my dining room table where we will chat over a cuppa during our consultation which can be world wide via Zoom or Skype.

Hows that for a peek into why I've been not on the blog?? I've been super duper busy. AND like I said word got out in the first week and two folks said hay I wanna work with you Leanne.

I sure will share when the website is up and running.

AND as I am working from home... YES I am still doing my hobby of Cottage Tails Farm Stay for Cats. I really enjoy sitting down in the cattery and petting the cats - It's like my meditation time where I can ZEN out and just sit, and pet the cats. Like how super lucky am I?

Of course next SUNDAY my little puppy arrives too.....

Life is good!

    1. Thanks Julie. All the hard work has paid off. I'm terribly excited and nervous re new puppy. I've never had my OWN dog, they have always been Brent's. I have missed my cats living inside terribly - which has been their own choice. They all want to be in a run and seem to have a NEED for routine of which bed is theirs. They are happy and all getting old - Lordy will be 15 next month.
