A day out to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary.

29 years, wow where has the time gone?
We started our day tip toeing through the tulips at the Wellington Botanical Garden.

Lunch at Arizona as we had a buy one main and get one free coupon with the Entertainment book. I had the Cobb salad and Brent had the Prawns. Mine was the better one.

Had a bit of time to kill so went and looked at the last ever Kirkcaldies Christmas Display (we were sad not to see the train that our kids used to love looking at when they were kids)

Then it was off for a bit of fun at Escape Mate. Don't yea dig our detective disguise. The Super Sluthers.

Oh my you either get LOCKED into a vault or a dark room for one hour where you have to find clues to crack the code to find the key to be let out.

We were locked in the dark room and we had so much fun. Oh we laughed so hard. We didn't think to take reading glasses and in the dim light it was hard to read the clues. Talk about start feeling old. We ransacked the room looking for clues - it was rather messy by the time we had finished. Finally we got the hang of what we were doing but we didn't crack the code within the time frame. So went over our hour. Well worth giving it a go if you like to solve puzzles - quite a laugh.  We had another voucher buy one get one free from Grab One - click here to get yours.

Next stop was Te Papa hoping to see the Gallipoli: The scale of our war exhibition. But there was a very long long line of people to get in and our time was limited, So we zipped of to the Margaret Sparrows' exhibition which finishes soon and was really interesting.

We had to be at the Roxy cinema by 5pm - oh yes another voucher this time a 3d movie, a platter and desert for two for $49.00 (not bad aye) you can get your coupon from here (only 2 days left)

To fit into our time frame we saw the movie Everest. A sobering movie that we knew the ending as being a kiwi we remember the event well.

We had a lovely day out and as the norm crammed as much as we can in the time away.
