Poor old Mack

Well we did not see this coming.... Mack has cancer. He has had a bit of a growth on his chest these last couple of years which appeared not serious. But in recent weeks it has grown rapidly. He is happy and eating well. A biopsy was done (and Mack gave the vet nurse a warning bite)  sadly the growth is cancerous. He is home and carrying on as if all is well.

We have never had a dog like Mack... even though he is an old fellow now, he still needs full supervision. Mischief is never far away and usually it finds him within minutes if he is not supervised.
He has an aura around him and where ever he goes people always comment... "What a magnificent looking dog"... "Hes very handsome".... "What type of dog is he".... "Such a noble looking dog"...'Hey mate - do you want to breed from him".... The list of compliments goes on and every time Mack goes out he seems to get another admirer. Even the vet nurse seemed sorry for being chomped.

Brent got back from the vet to find this poor ewe was cast. She is on her back and can't get up without a bit of help.  Sometimes they can be a bit dazed or giddy when back on their feet

But not this girl she was up and away. and took off like a rocket.

Running like crazy back to her flock.

Farm Stay Guests...
Ollie arrived  here today for his annual holiday. His family go to some very interesting places in the world....It always pleases me to see Ollie settle in straight away.... He likes to holiday here - This is his other home.

Ollie likes to weave in between my legs, Don't ya just love how he wraps his tail around my legs too. (Ignore the camera strap that got in the way)

I need to not feed Beau and Sienna before a photo shoot as all they want is their dinner.

Indigo is such a pretty girl, Maybe tomorrow I'll get a photo of her looking at the camera. Now in code to her mum & dad - the medicine is working and everything is going very well.

    1. Hi is playing on it. A he has got older he has got a bit more demanding. Will bark to be let in and out, in and out. We all felt a bit mean growling at him. But we had to in the end. He is a character that is for real.

    1. No we have decided not treat him,he is an old fella and sometimes the surgery can be worse. For now he is fine just has a huge lump hanging off his neck. The vet said it possibly got knocked that is why it swelled up, so the swelling may go down. He is happy, eating and acting very normal.
