Yarn Along

I've chosen another basic  baby item to knit - a little vest. My mind needs easy by the end of a study day.

Reese Witherspoon is reading to me Go Set A Watchman while I knit, garden or walk at the moment. Her voice is perfect for Harper Lee's book. I've not read any reviews but so far I am enjoying being back in Maycomb.

sniff sniff Pancho goes home today.

Linking up to yarn along

  1. lovely knitting and I love how Reece is your personal reader :)

  2. That looks interesting. I am looking to make a vest next so will see how yours turns out. I thought the neck looks a bit high in the photo? I have been using Debbie Bliss patterns but don't have that book. ( Did I tell you I am going to be getting my first grand son in a couple of months? )
Regards to all your family, Ali.

  3. I'd be interested to see what you think of the book. I don't know whether I will read it or not. I recently read a biography of Harper Lee and learned that this novel was a first draft (usually needing quite a bit of tweaking) which her editor advised her to recast using the voice of the young Scout rather than the grown up Scout. From some reviews I have read it gives a very different (and negative) portrayal of Atticus but that may just be journalists trying to stir up controversy as they often are wont to do.
