Merry Christmas

This years tree is my favourite one we have ever had. I was out voted by the family this year. They did not want to have a tree. I slept on their choice and in the morning commented on how it was going to feel rather weird that for nearly 50 years I've had a Christmas tree. I went into the garden and when I came back in James had put up the tree, He gave me firm instructions. Do not move the wood box as it is holding up the tree. Plus there are holes in the tree as he didn't put up all the branches and oh there are no branches at the back - but there are lights,

'Don't you too think it is the bestest tree you have ever seen? I think it is rather special.

I struggle with the commercialism of Christmas, the loud busy malls and the media bombarding sales and for folks to spend......
I'm onto a winner. Treats and surprises for the family have been done all on line.
Courier parcels have been arriving daily.

Mr Countdown delivered some important supplies yesterday too.

Our organic vegetable box arrived with the first plums of the season and organic blue berries,,,

I'm all set and organised - I won't have to leave our gate for days. It is only us four for Christmas Day- we have already begun the festivities with cracking the ham last night and pudding of a bowl full of cherries and strawberries each.

We are watching the weather a new weather source that Leonardo and Bella's (farm stay guests) mum put me on to.
It's quite good. It comes from Norway but extremely accurate. Here is the link for you to try too.

Thank you to all who leave comments here and on the facebook page. We all enjoy reading your comments. I do get a tad behind in answering the comments and reading others blogs. I'm behind in replying to emails too. But thank you we do read your comments and appreciate them,

Sign up for Countdown and then they email you when they have $1.00 delivery (only time I do it) Felt a tad mean making the guy lug all the cat litter - I sure appreciated not having to do it.

    1. And to you too Karen. One of my goals for 2015 is to learn to knit a pair of socks I don;t know how I will go as holding 4 needles is terribly difficult me thinks.
