I NEED TO DO THIS

Day 24 of  a photo a day project.
I NEED TO DO THIS...

Inspired by a photo off pinterest (sorry can't find original source to give credit) to paint stones with herb names. Since I am not an artist I'm conning anyone who has an artistic bone to doodle on my stones. The goal is to have every herb in my garden have a stone which will help when the herbs go dormant in winter and stop them getting pulled out in error.

    1. I'd love your doodling and energy put into my stones. It's quite scary just how many herbs I have in my garden. Brent has been commenting that my vege gardens he built me were meant to be for veges.... I'm waiting for the right moment to make the suggestion of another herb area. A women's herb garden and a fragrant herb garden... Wet here today so an inside study day - yesterday it was soo sunny LOVELY

  2. This is a great idea Leanne, I have success with growing herbs, but not so with veg and sometimes I think I should give up on the veg. Hope you get your extra herb garden!

    1. Mine is TIME I've had to put my vege garden on the back burner and not look too hard at the weeds. WHICH is terribly hard knowing one year of seed means 7 years of weeding

  4. I love this idea. The main thing is to have paint that lasts, I guess.

    1. yes that is what one friend said she thinks we should paint the rocks and paint the words. But that is in the too hard basket for me.

  5. Yet another WIP! I have had the stones for over a year but have been dithering as to what to use to mark them up with. What did you use to write on your stones?

    1. I've been stealing the stones on my walk - feel terribly guilty as don't think you are meant to.I got a permanent white ink pen from stationary shop. had to ask for them as couldn;t find it - they are kept in a locked cupboard as get stolen for sniffing. How terribly sad me thinks.
