I was very relieved to see all four lambs had made it through the night, I watched the lambs all day - the mother with triplets was feeding two. The mother with a sore leg had two following her. It wasn't until 6pm that the decision was finally made to take one of these lambs into the house to bottle feed it. I think she has been able to steal a few feeds off the mum with the sore foot .....so fingers are crossed that with the colostrum we gave her in paddock and some from the ewe and then more last night she has had a good enough start. Now it's regular feeding - little and often. She took to the bottle no worries and is doing well
YAWN I'm tired... one does forget what it is like to have a newborn in the house again with all the feeding and washing bottoms. Yes once bottle fed one has to wash bottoms to get the toileting going as a mother ewe would. Was that too much information?
