walking in rain and rainbows

brrrrr a southerly came through today with rain but we did get a rainbow.
Who doesn't love a rainbow?

The sun came out - have I said how I'm loving winter this year and seeing so much of the sun?
Wrapping up warm with hats and raincoats keeps us warm and dry in the rain.

Miss Stella loves her raincoat - isn't she cute... But we have to watch her as she would run into the river when we weren't looking.

The First grape hyacinth is out - A sure sign spring is not far away. This is way too early??

Farm Stay Guests

Hello mum, dad and girls - Leanne looked at your facebook updates for me and told all about the lovely holiday you are having - LOOKS a beautiful part of NZ!
(Pinot didn't get up to much he slept in his igloo most of the day where it is nice and warm and dry)

  3. Way too early for a grape hyacinth, but I do have several King Alfred daffs out in full bloom, and many more in huge bud, They should be blooming in mid-August. Freezing up here now, frosty and about minus 1.5 C. Both fires going and toasty inside. Cheers , Jean.

  7. It's. Even very cold here too. We are going away camping this weekend and they have predicted snow Down to 600 meters so I'm hope it will show were we will be. Our sheep had a lamb about a week ago and I too took that to be sign of an early spring. Stay warm xx

  8. So did you run to the end of the rainbow to find that pot of gold? When we were in high school my husband and I were driving out in the middle of nowhere and suddenly a rainbow appeared in the field next to us. The actual end of the rainbow. He refused to stop the car and let me check it out. I just KNOW I would have found that gold. LOL
