A very special gift

We had a wonderful surprise today - Annabelle a New Zealand, artist arrived with a very special gift - A framed water colour of our dear old Molly goat.
As you can imagine - I burst into tears. Such a wonderful portrait of my dear old friend and hasn't Annabelle captured Molly's character perfectly!. Her eyes are amazing.

Sorry about the reflection in my photos- she has special UV proof glass to keep her safe,

This is one of my prized possessions.
I'm totally thrilled with it and can see myself as an old lady with this Molly painting hanging on my wall. It has already been on display in an art gallery & people have wanted to buy it - Well.... its not for sale now.

If you were also a fan of Molly, you can too have your very own Molly card. Annabelle has made cards of Molly and you can purchase them from her website Drawingafineline.

One of Annabelle's friends saw the painting and said "Molly is the "Mona Lisa' of goats.

    1. Isn"t Annabelle clever! She always liked seeing Molly when she came out - as everyone did. The place doesn't seem the same without her.

    1. Oh Joyce it has made me so happy and yes something I will have for the rest of my life. Annabelle said she would like to try and draw Rory the rooster so this week I'll be trawling through the past blogs trying to find some good photos of rory in his hay day - Annabelle said she will enjoy the self challenge to draw his beautiful feathers. Love Leanne - PS I looked on the goats for sale last night ads... just in case a little goat took my eye.

    1. She was the best goat any one could ever of had. I love having her sitting here in my dinning room/computer area watching me. - But do so miss giving her titbits from my garden. Gardening is just not the same without my darling garden buddy.
