Weekend happenings.

We have some cats coming to stay who wanted to book two rooms as the two younger cats annoy the older cat of the family.

Brent spent the weekend putting in a cat door so that the cats will have two runs and an indoor/outdoor option.

It's going to be wonderful for the cats that come for a month long term stay over winter too as the cats can  go in and out at their leisure.

Our cats are trying it out for the next two weeks.
I was very surprized that Lordy was the first cat to use the cat door

Home brew Update.

The brew seems a jolly good drop and was ready to bottle.

Suck it up James -
keep drinking
you gotta get all the air bubbles out of the hose before bottling can begin

(I think he had fun! It's moments like these that memories are made of aye)

Fifty two stubbies of home brew.
Now we wait at least another 7 days before sampling begins.
James has plans for the official sampling.

Movies...

Oh my what a watch!
All of our family was glued to the screen such a captivating movie.
Tom Hanks sure is an amazing actor! 4.5/5 from our family - well worth the watch!

  4. Who wouldn't want their cats to come and stay with you. Everything is so clean and nice plus you can tell you love all the cats. Do you feed them raw meat?
I hope James lets you taste some of the home brew, hah.
    Have a good week.

    1. Yes out cats are fed raw meat - they get a varied diet but I can never get enough weight on Cinders she is very slight (healthy but slight).

Most of the beer is air marked to be given away - we are not drinkers in our home (Brent likes a beer and whiskey for medicinal purposes) so a bit of a laugh us making home brew but James grew the hops and we alays said we would make home brew with it. Made lots of fun memories. I did use to make homebrew when we were younger err um 30 odd years ago SMILE.

  6. James will need to design some labels for his bottles but maybe the taste test should happen first!! Pretty snazzy bottle topper, we had a different contraption for gingerbeer when we were kids :-) And very snazzy cat run with indoor outdoor flow!

  9. Oh my gosh you are living with a black panther!!!! He is beautiful and I am sure he thinks he really is a jungle panther.
I remember my dad making beer but don't know if it was any good in the end. This was 50 years ago and I still remember the smell.
Enjoy the fruit of your labours.

    1. Lordy IS rather handsome! I really didn't think he would get the hang of the cat door but he is in and out and they are loving the extra room. I don;t think they will want to go back to their own house when farm stay guests arrive.
