Harvest Moon

The actual night of the full moon was cloudy - I always feel so cheated on a cloudy full moon. Last night was cloudy too - but this morning there was a little break in the cloud to get some photos.
I'd been hanging off harvesting the corn just for a full moon photo. Will try again tonight and then the corn will be harvested for Mabon - the Autumn Equinox.

The moon peeking through a gap of clouds.

Farm Stay Guests.

Leonardo enjoyed being outside and approved of his dinner - Phew as he can be a tad fussy.
Leonardo talks and talks to me, he has quite a lot to say.

Bella was settled today. Mum can now enjoy her holiday knowing they have settled in well here.

Omar gave Bella and Leonardo his filthy look through the cage. He wanted them to know he is boss here.

Coco is eating well and gets into the beef before Sterling does.

I told Sterling all the words you all have been using to describe him "very impressive, ginormous! a little chunky, but so cute! a big lad next to his friends!  huge, fat (chubby, maybe :)"

Sterling gave you all his look...

    1. Our family doesn't eat cake much due to food allergies and intolerances. But we sure will be having a feast off the land with all the harvesting we do. Halloween is recognised here in NZ on 31st Oct but mainly for commercial gain. There is a movement happening of kiwis following the seasons for the Southern hemisphere rather than the Northern. I remember as a kid just not getting Easter with all the books and photos of spring bunnies and spring bulbs when hello we are in autumn. same for Christmas hearing on the radio and learning songs at school as let it snow let it snow while we are in stinking hot summer. Our family follow the seasons and the wheel of the year so today is Mabon (autumn Equinox but if you want to get all perfect (which I admit I do like to) the equinox actually happens tomorrow at 5.57am for Wellington NZ. (Equinoxes are opposite on either side of the equator, so the autumnal (fall) equinox in the northern hemisphere is the spring (vernal) equinox in the southern hemisphere and vice versa.) Hers a good website to key in where you live to get your exact times too http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/march-equinox.html Love Leanne Ps did I share too much? The home-schooling mum in me just can't seem to stop SMILE.

  3. It's been a huge moon, hasn't it. It shines in the slits of my mini blinds at night and lights the room up nicely.
