Wild weather and storm damage.

Summer storm was pretty awful in Wellington - Here we missed the brunt of it but had a little leak in kitchen roof.

It did however  cause major damage to my garlic SOB SOB SOB
It's been drying on the boot box under the veranda and got all wet. First year there will be no platting of  the garlic as I have no where to lay it out to re dry.,.

Garlic tops and bottoms were trimmed and placed on hearth to dry out

...as you do.

No Photos of cats taken today - they are all tucked up in the chalet Evie (who is now eating yea!) in one run, Beau & Sienna the other run and Pinot has the middle.

They are all well fed, warm and dry

  1. Im so sorry your harvest was spoilt. But at least you can salvage some of it. The weather here has been funny, its like it can't decided weather it wants to be hot, or muggy or overcast, sunny or raining. I hope you get better weather soon.

    1. The news said how Queensland has had the highest temps ever to be recorded, our weather has been like yours. My garlic was dry and ready for plating but then the wind and rain go it. All salvaged, I just cut the tops off and have bulbs drying.

  2. What a shame about the garlic. Lovely day here - forecast 28 degrees but it was cooler. Went to Russell and had a shower of rain just as we got back to Kamo.
