    1. I've been amazed at the colours she chooses too a lot brighter than I prefer but they work really well and I'm actually liking them a lot.

    1. Yea I smiled when I saw the fussy cut of that one too. She has brought herself a Horn sewing cabinet and can set it up in her room.

    1. She gave up on the Farme'rs wife quilt instruction book and is now finding her own 6 inch blocks. She is great at maths and works many out herself. I said she should design patterns. I wonder if she will take her mums advise one day. Love Leanne

  7. These are beautiful. Well done. Such straight seams. I'm suck a crokked sewer, I wouldn't even attempt this!
I tried to type crooked, but crokked works better!

    1. We bred most of the cats that come back to stay at the Farm Stay. It's really fun seeing the kittens back and how much they remind us of their parents.

  10. Abby is such a talented young woman. I love seeing the traditional blocks in fresh modern color combinations. It will be a wonderful bed quilt when finished. Love the little birdie peeking out of the granny square.
It looks like you & your cat guest are enjoying a beautiful Summer day. I so wish I could join Minka for a roll & stretch on the warm cement. My Toby was so ticked off at me this morning when she whacked the bedroom drapes aside & looked out the window to see another dark rainy day. I swear she thinks I have a switch somewhere in the house that controls the sunshine the same way it turns the lights off & on. She was so disgusted that I refuse to comply with her request that I flip the right switch & make the sun puddles instantly appear. That way Toby can toast her creaky old bones as she naps all day. I wonder if Weather On Demand will become a reality in my lifetime? I think it would be a big seller..

    1. Mr Pudddy it is a shame you do not live closer cos you could come and stay - But over Xmas might not of been able to of fitted you in either and you still would of had to stay home alone. Can't help that in an emergency.

    1. Debbie not sure if the photo does really show size as the blocks are 6 inch finished and will have a 2.5 sashing of white border around each square. She has MANY to make for a bed quilt. But she is having fun!
