Temper tantrum!

Did yea all hear me do my scone?
A right royal Donald Duck temper tantrum I tell you!

These tiger slugs that are eating my girls - grrrrrrr

Thebeep beep beep tiger slugs that keep finding their way into the worm farm are doing my head in.
How dare they feast on my worms.
They are the most disgusting things to pick up too...SHUDDER

Luscious worm weee
Just one of the reasons I love my worm farm sooo much and feel like such a mother hen to my girls.

Diluted down worm wee to a "pithy cuppa tea" and fed to the tomatoes.
Just watch this space to how well the tomatoes will grow.

Is anyone else having such trouble with tiger slugs in their worm farms?

  1. I didn't realise Tiger Slugs ate worms! No ideas or clues sorry! It's no wonder your plants always looks so healthy with that brew on them.

  5. That would make me made too. Bad enough having a rabbit taking off all my carrot tops .Is there ant way you can put a water trap around your worm farm? Mine has 4 legs which I stand in ice cream containers of water to stop ants climbing up. Maybe just go through it all and pull them out and throw squashed on the lawn for the birds.

    1. May just have to look into putting the farm in some sorta water bath. I do pick through the farms looking for them now. The birds and hens won;t eat them as so slimy. Sorry about your carrot tops... I promise I didn't send no rabbits your way.No rabbit hunting here at moment as horses back in paddocks. But come January watch this space.

  7. I love the worm wee too, and luckily have never seen tiger slugs. I wonder if they would go for a beer trap?

    1. We keep meaning to make beer from our hops but as not drinkers keep not getting around to it - maybe we should make it for the garden SMILE.

  8. The only thing more disgusting than slugs is a slug eating worms - YUCK!!! We have slugs in Oregon that all gardeners curse & are to blame for much destruction in the garden. When I was a kid my brothers used to pour salt on them & watch them explode. It made the worst mess ever & my Mom was always wondering how she ran out of salt so often.
The slugs in our valley are not as big as yours, but the ones up in the forests are about as monstrous. too funny that you love your icky worms, but are disgusted by slugs. Not much difference other than ones skinny & the other is plump. Now that I think about it, Mom used to fill plastic food containers with beer, sink them into the ground so the slug swimming pool was level with the grass. She did manage to drown quite a few and she always said they were so blitzed from drinking the beer that at least they died happy.
